Dr. Brian Bantum was born at Saint Mary’s hospital and raised in Reno.
He attended Roy Gomm, Swope, Reno High, and the University of Nevada-Reno.
He left the area for medical school and residency training, and despite living in some great areas of the country including New York City, he was drawn back to the crisp fresh air and beautiful scenery found in Northern Nevada.
He is proud to serve in the community he grew up in.
Through a combination of life experiences including studying nutrition, volunteering in the athletic training department at UNR, and working in the Radiology and Emergency departments at St. Mary’s hospital, he became interested in medicine, and particularly in his specialty of Physical Medicine and rehabilitation.
He enjoys helping patients become more physically active by reducing pain, whether that be from osteoarthritis, sport, or an automobile or work accident.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, running, golfing, gardening, skiing, traveling, and listening to music.
He is married to his wife Cortnee, and has two children, one boy and one girl.
