Born in Lansing, Michigan, Casey Dye moved to Reno with her family at the age of 12. She found her passion for healthcare early in life and by the time she graduated from Reno High School, she knew her career path lead to nursing. She jumped into the field straight away, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) in 2003 with Magna Cum Laude Honors.

Excited to apply her skills in the field, she joined the emergency departments at both St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Northern Nevada Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. Nursing in the ER was exciting, challenging, and inspired Casey to continue her mastery of the nursing profession. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from her alma mater in 2008.

Today, Casey is board-certified as a nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Initially working with Sierra Hospitalists as an APRN, she began her nearly 12 year partnership with Mountain West Sport & Spine in 2010. She has been instrumental to the practice, working closely with Dr. Berry to develop customized treatment plans for patients with back and spinal injuries. As a Registered Nurse First Assistant, she also assists in spinal and orthopedic surgeries, a field she has fallen in love with. Her passion for patient advocacy and work to improve the long-term outlook and success for individual patients has made her a strong asset to Mountain West.
